Junior Class Publicity Officer

August Formal ASB Mtg
Position Assessment: In the beginning of summer my fellow officers and I designed a t-shirt for our junior class to sell. At Core Camp, I became vulnerable and learned more about my job, which helped me to create stronger bonds with my classmates. We preordered these shirts at Pow Wow and at Club Rush. To publicize that we are selling, I created digital posters to post on our class instagram. I have been and continue to brainstorm ideas to decorate for homecoming for our theme is “Party in the USA.” I also helped with the back to school dance, but setting up and cleaning up, and the pep rally for club rush by being on special committees.
Standing Committee: Being a publicity officer, I work and communicate with public relations and other fellow publicity officers to help create and build digital posters for the school.
Special Committee: For the Club Rush Pep Rally, I was on the committee for decorations for posters. I hung posters and created them before school for the rally. We reused these posters for the Back to School Dance, where I hung up during set up for the dance.
Mentorship Evaluation: Ava Brochini is my mentor this year and although so far we have not done anything deliberate to strengthen our bond, we have both made an effort to reach out and communicate with each other more. Although we are both second years in the program, I find myself feeling safe and comfortable to rely on her to ask for reassurance on activities and assignments we have in class. Last year we had a little rough patch near the middle of the school year, yet we have both made an effort to fix our ways and become close friends.
Concerns: One concern that I have for this school year is the amount of lack of work/ late work we will have this year. Just by the looks from the back to school dance, I witnessed many people standing around talking to their friends instead of working to help clean up after the dance. Shout out to Kylee Machado who quickly and effectively helped my whip out chairs and put them to tables that needed them.
Positive Comment: One thing that I am excited about for this school year is the amount of fun we will have in class and outside of class. I feel that this year we will have a close bond with everyone and that there will be less arguments than last year.
One Change: One change that I would like to incorporate in the program is the incorporation of individual class funding. I understand that there is a master schedule and many other things that come into play, but I believe that it would be beneficial for each class to do their own type of fundraising to learn more paperwork and simply have more money.
My Impact: I have made an impact on my campus this past month, is that I have been reaching out and rekindling friendships that I had lost over summer. This personally impacts myself for I feel like I have more friends and the other people around me can come and talk to me.

Junior Class Publicity Officer
Formal ASB - Adapted
Position Assessment - Throughout the past few months, the Junior class and I have worked on Dude Be Nice Week where we successfully finished the first week of November. We prepped a few weeks before having a meeting with Morty, discussing the basics of the week. We made purchase orders and I finished and created all of the social media posts needed for that week. During that I took pictures of students dressed up in said day for Morty to post on the ASB Instagram page. We created a photo backdrop for students to take photos in front of on Thursday of the Dude Be Nice week. I have helped plan the Christmas Tree decorating, and helped order items for the tree too.
Standing Committees - Through these months and major spirit days, I have taken pictures of those who have participated in the spirit day. Capturing many different groups that have taken the time to be involved in the school was very inspiring and I saw these photos to Morty for her to post.
WinterFest- Soonly after Dude Be Nice week, I helped research and finalize the decision of the dress up day, Jolly rancher - western day / or sour patch kid - neon or bright colors. Those following two weeks were very beneficial for the Junior Class as we took advantage and brainstormed with detail each idea of our window, shopping cart, and bleacher decoration. We took these topics one day at a time making sure to include all of the necessary items and elements in each project. I drew sketches of my ideas and shared them with my team, and I assisted in the research of items on Amazon. After we created a confident design for our projects, the Junior officers had a meeting with the juniors in the leadership where we told our ideas and asked for their feedback. There rough drafts of the playlist for the lip sync dance were created. I helped tape out the paper for our bleacher and am storing that in my house. Majority of the items that we need have either been delivered and or processed through Divina, which we are hoping to order this week!
Special Committees - I was not officially a part of any special committees throughout these past few months due to our hard work on Dude Be Nice Week. However, I did donate a case of water to the sophomore class for Winter Formal.
Positive Comment - One positive comment I have is about the vibe in the classroom. In the beginning of the year, there was a very hostile cloud following us around. However, I believe that we have all moved past it and are working towards bettering friendships and relationships in the classroom. This makes me hopeful for a successful and fun rest of the year.
Change - One change that I would address about this class is the type of communication that is performed. Verbal communication is excellent; however, everyone has million things running through their brain 24/7, so I think that we should utilize google classroom and/or Remind for important information so no one is confused about whether or not things are graded or important due dates coming up that are whole class related.
Concern - A concern that I have about the communication that occurs in this class. I think that our clarity in our request needs to be stronger, to not have any miscommunication within the classroom. I’m also concerned about the little groups that have arisen. I believe that we should all be friends and maybe changing the seating arrangement a little bit would hurt.
Impact - My impact on this program is my constant support for the junior class and positive energy. Throughout it all, I have looked after our team and have tried my best to be truthful, yet productive.

Formal ASB Meeting - December
Position Assessment: For the month of December, I communicated with my class about the items for Winterfest, and for the Holiday Tree and helped revise the cart of our items. I also helped the organization of our spirit box for hopes of decreasing stress levels for Winterfest and the Holiday Tree. During the week of Warm and Fuzzy, I took pictures each day and sent them to Morty for her to post on The ASB instagram page. I cut the paper for Winterfest and am now storing it in my house. The Junior Class and I are brainstorming ideas for the Prom and Kylee has reached out to Events 22 on themes and to view their inventory on certain items. For the decorating of the Holiday Tree, the officers decided to split up the procedure form to make it easier and faster.
Standing Committee: I continue to work with and support my officer team to fulfill our job position; however, I was not necessarily participating in any committee.
Special Committee: A special committee that I have participated in since our last ASB meeting is the door decorating. I provided my measuring tape and when my group leaders were absent I measured the doors and sent images to them so they weren’t missing out on anything. I helped cut out the wrapping paper days before the big day so we could be prepared and efficient. Although we went through some difficulties, like other people stealing our paper, we managed to make it work with the scraps that were left behind.
Mentorship Evaluation: My mentor, Ava B, and I have helped each other with keeping up to date on assignments and have given advice on other classes and simply life. We have enjoyed sitting in mentorship because it gives us more of an opportunity to talk and catch up on life. Due to us being second year leadership students, we typically don’t have too many questions about the course, yet we still keep each other in check.
Concerns: A few of my concerns in this class is the lack of communication or check in that occurs. We all have very busy lives and I believe to set each other up for success, we should utilize google classroom in reminding others of important details and due dates of paperwork, community service, etc.
Positive comment: I liked the activity “Thrones and Roses.” I believe that it gave the class a chance to become closer together.
One change: A change that I believe should be implicated in the class is the changing of seating in the class to create a family-like vibe.
My Impact: I believe that I am a person to go to for advice and honest opinions on ideas. That is a very valued thing in a work environment because it ensures trust that I am telling the truth on what I think and my point of view.

ASB Report - January
Position Assessment: In this month of January, I fulfilled my job assessment by continuing my making of canva posters to promote and advertise the junior class events of winterfest, and opportunities to help us in these competitions. I heavily helped and supported my junior officer team by working diligently on the bleacher poster, cart, window, and dance. I participated in the Night Rally dance trying to help my class do their best. This took numerous weeks to finish.
Standing Committee: I am continuing to work with my team and finish class assignments. I am not a part of any standing committees currently.
Special Committee: Special committees that I am a part of this month and till they are completed are college reveal night and Valentines Name Hearts. Here I will help to cut out and write names of said class I will be assigned to. For college reveal night, I will be an asset to the team and follow Kylee's instructions to what has/should be done for that night.
Mentor Evaluation: Dylan and I had a very nice lunch together and I really appreciated this assignment because it gave us a time to talk just one on one. I love to hear what he has to say, and he is very good at giving advice. Dylan is a kind of person that makes me worried that others are taking advantage of him for his kindness and intelligence, thus sometimes he is too nice to people. I hope by having this lunch together, Dylan will see me as a friend and someone he can trust.
Concerns: The only concern that I have about the program, resulting from the past few weeks, is consequences of not following through with your own responsibilities. I believe that allowing students to know that if they continue to not do their job there should be a warning system, until they threaten to kick them out. This would apply to situations that are eligible.
Positive Comment: One positive comment I have is that I am happy Winterfest is over. This may come across as ungrateful for this opportunity, I am simply happy to now be granted the time to focus on Prom and the other stresses of my class. Winterfest has taught me many things that I will hold onto as I continue this journey.
One change: One change I would make in the program is adding the continuation of seating charts. I liked how we changed mentors during the middle of the year and I think that we should also change our curriculum seating chart as well.
My Impact: My impact on this program is to help and continue pulling the weight of the Junior class. Although we may complain as a class about the bleacher poster, I believe that I was very helpful in the creation of the process and helped my class achieve to the best of our abilities.

April and May ASB Report
Position Assessment: During the month of April, The junior Officers and I worked on Prom and finalized all the materials that were needed for this dance to happen. We sold tickets the week after spring break and continued to communicate with the Decorator about the dance. I participated in love Ripon, helping pull weeds and lay our gravel near the parking lot.
Standing Committee: I am not apart of any standing Committees
Special Committee: I was a part of the College Reveal NIght Committee, and publicity for the challenge. There I created and came up with multiple spirit days and canva posters to help publicize the event. I helped set up for college reveal night to make the night go seamless for our seniors.
Mentorship Evaluation: Dillian is the sweetest man alive and has helped me so much this year. By listening to my problems and giving me the best advice that I could ever hear, he has made me a better person. Sitting with him in leadership is one of my favorite parts of my day and I am wishing the very best for him in the future.
Concerns: My only concern is how we are going to get to core camp this year due to the very limited number of drivers we have.
Positive comment: I love the energy we have created the past few months. Although it has been very busy, we have been able to make it very entertaining and exciting.
One change: One chance I would like to see is the changing of seating charts more. I believe that I could help the class become closer and stronger.
My impact: I have impacted the class by giving nonchalant answers and energy to the class when things become very stressful.
